Andrzej Szejna

Polish politician, barrister and legal adviser, Deputy Minister of Economy, Labour and Social Policy (2003), Deputy Minister in the Office of the Committee for European Integration (2004), Member of the European Parliament for the 6th term of office, Vice-Chairman of the Delegation of the Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (2019-2023).

Member of the Sejm of the ninth and tenth terms, Vice-Chairman of the Democratic Left Alliance and the New Left. In 2022 he became vice-president of the Party of European Socialists.

He speaks English, French and German.

Secretary of State Andrzej Szejna takes part in meetings of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers. He represents the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the work of the Government Programming Team, the Committee of the Council of Ministers for Digitalisation and in relations with business organisations. He coordinates African and Middle Eastern issues.
