Ignacy Niemczycki holds a degree in Sociology from the School of Social Sciences and a degree in Political Science from the School of Social Sciences (Lancaster University Diploma). He holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Bocconi University in Milan. He also holds a postgraduate degree in agriculture from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and in organic farming from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. He was awarded a scholarship from the IVLP programme of the US Department of State and the Landecker Democracy Fellowship.
During his studies, he founded the Free Belarus Initiative to support the struggle for democracy in that country. He was a member of the board of the Action Democracy Foundation and headed the Prof. Bronisław Geremek Centre Foundation. He founded and coordinated the European Front coalition of social organisations.
In 2008-2012, he worked in government administration - including the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, the Office of the Committee of European Integration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Representation to the EU in Brussels, where he participated in negotiations of EU funds for Poland. Between 2013 and 2015, Ignacy Niemczycki headed the European affairs department at Polityka Insight. From 2015 to 2017, public affairs manager and acting director of international corporate communications. He runs an organic farm in the Mazury region.
