Moderator: Barbara Zollmann

After training as an industrial clerk at the University of Paderborn, Ms Zollmann graduated with a degree in economics in 1995 and completed a part-time Master Business Consulting (MBC) programme at the University of Wismar in 2012.                                                                  

After graduation, she started her career with an internship programme at the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHT), after which she worked at the Koblenz Chamber of Industry and Commerce from 1997 to 2001 as a consultant to the Managing Director and Managing Director of the Mittelrhein Youth Chamber of Commerce.

In 2001, she moved to the German-American Chamber of Commerce in Chicago, where she worked in various positions until 2008, most recently as Deputy Managing Director.

From 2009 to 2013, Ms Zollmann was head of the AHK Coordination Department for North, Central and South America and Western Europe at the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), based in Berlin.

In March 2013, she was seconded to the German-Korean Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Seoul (AHK Korea) as interim managing director. From 2014 until April 2021, Ms Zollmann headed AHK and its subsidiary KGCCI DE International Ltd. as managing director.

In May 2021, Ms Zollmann moved to the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Budapest (DUIHK) and took over the management of the Chamber as managing director on 1 July 2021.
